28th – Abercynon Community Centre (Social Hall) – St. David’s Day celebrations with Cor Meibion, Abercynon. Free informal concert / social event.
6th – Abercynon – Christmas lights – Everyone was looking very festive tonight as we joined Cor Meibion Abercynon and the children of Abercynon school, at the Christmas lights and Santa Dash event in Abercynon. Well done to all who worked so hard to organise it. We had a ball.
6th – Glantaff Inn, Quakers Yard. A quick Santa Dash of our own later and we were singing again at the Glantaff advent calendar event. Our ladies are loving being busy this December!
8th – ArtisCommunity – Light up the night at St. Catherine’s Church, Pontypridd. Big thank you to ArtisCommunity for inviting us and Only Drive Aloud Choir for letting us share your evening. Wonderful atmosphere. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas …
9th – Penallta Rugby Club – Christmas carols fundraiser & happy big birthday to one of our founder members Pat!
14th – Social evening & Choir Christmas meal – Cheers!
20th – Hebron Evangelical Church, Dowlais. An honour to be invited to participate in a carol service in a place which held a very special place in the heart of a former choir member who sadly passed away earlier this year. A poignant evening to end our Christmas celebrations of 2018. Wishing everyone the very best of the season and a happy and healthy 2019.

Listen to Your Heart – Charity evening in aid of our 2016 nominated charity ‘Jack’s Appeal’. Thank you to all supported the event. We raised a whopping £446.02 – that’s nearly one defibrillator already. Looking forward to more events to come.
3rd – St Winifred’s Church, Penrhiwceiber with the choir of Perthcelyn Primary School who were a credit to their school once again. Thanks to all who made the evening happen along with Fr Andrew Holmes and the ladies of the church for their hospitality. Despite the appalling weather outside, there was a large audience and a warm and festive reception inside.
5th – The Phoenix Singers would like to thank the generous shoppers in Cardiff today who helped us raise £116 for our nominated charity MIND. Wonderful acoustics in the Capitol Centre and thanks to the centre staff who could not do enough to help us. A lovely way to start Christmas!
22nd – Christmas Carols with Cwmdare Voices – Nebo Chapel, Cwmdare. Rounding off the season with a flourish of festive flair. What a wonderful to end the year. Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and musical 2016.

FREE Summer Concert at Abercynon Community Centre.
A very successful evening with a great crowd. During which our Musical Director, Mr David Lewis presented a cheque on behalf of the choir to Mrs Debra Davies a nurse in Cwm Taff Health board for the sum of £315. This was raised from bucket collections during the last 6 months. The money will be used to support patients suffering with dementia
